Happy Birthday Erin!

okay so it was yesterday, but her present from chad was a surprise. i hope she loved it!

he snuck her son to the farm for a photoshoot because she kept saying, "i just don't have any good pictures of morgan." so yesterday chad(her fiance) surprised her with a beautiful print of her adorable son, i can't wait to hear what she thought. i've been dying to post some of these fun photos since our shoot last weekend, but didn't want to ruin the surprise!

christmas cards!

around this time of year i start getting the question, do you do christmas cards? my answer has always been somewhat cryptic because i've never really liked my options- until this year! i have purchased some incredible cards from a designer that i feel are different, fun, and flexible! they can be either a flat card or a folded card with a message inside! you can change the text to whatever you like, and include more photos within the design!

A $100 order must be placed before card order
Cards are ordered in boxes of 25 and include envelopes
5x7 folded card with message on inside
1-5 $65.00 per box
6+ $58.00 per box

5x7 flat card
1-5 $50.00 per box
6+ $45.00 per box

mr personality

this guy has more personality in his pinky (which ironically he cut off, seriously) than a lot of people have in their whole body. travis is so much fun to be around and as sweet as can be. he had some pretty humorous ideas for his senior pictures, much to his mother chagrin, but while we passed up his artistic concepts i'm pretty sure his personality is there 100%.

freezing family fun

that first week of cold gets me every time. in february i have no trouble going outside without a coat on, in freezing rain, with the wind nearly blowing me over, but that first cold day of fall is just too much for me. this family came to see me on that day, and let me tell you they should win an award for grinning and bearing it, literally.

AHHHH!

What in the world did we do before internet? Seriously.
Sorry for missing a couple of days, my internet was fuzzy. I'm way behind on posting. I promise I haven't forgotten!

doot do do- hello logan!

when i was in high school we worked on projects in groups a lot. during one of those occasions we were building something that required toilet paper, paper towel, and wrapping paper tubes. one of the kids in my group asked me to pass him a doot do do. i had no idea what he was talking about- but he grabbed the tube from my hand put it up to his mouth and made the royal introduction sound. ah- i got it. well i always thought that was pretty funny and so now my house is full of tiny doot do dos for deacon to play with- he loves them.

so while i was photographing the arrival of logan his awesome big brother carson was fascinated with his dad flicking the bottom of a yogart container and making it fly across the room. he laughed and chased it countless times. that got me thinking about my doot do dos. so we all had our turn with the yogart cup calling to some imaginary king somewhere, then it became a hat, and who knows what else after i left. isn't it great that you can have a basket full of toys but the thing that gets their attention is working on it's second life?

cupcakes and classics

how can you help but love a girl that appreciates things like the intricacy of an antique key? sydney is one of those girls that get it. she may give her mother a run for her money, but spending a couple of hours with her was just good. she kept saying, i'm not too picky, so traipsed we around the river market and then to her version of heaven. books and books and books in a build defined on the outside with a story high volumes of well, stories. she's not your run of the mill girl, she's defined by the standards she has set for herself, ah refreshing.
