seriously, do they make them any cuter than this?

not only are these little girls adorable they are so darn sweet it's not even funny! i've gotten to see these sweeties at story time and the ymca, but never got to really hang out. i have always been amazed how they sat so quietly in their moms lap, while i pray that deacon doesn't start screaming and we have to make our exit. i secretly wondered if she gave them baby tylenol to keep them calm, kidding, but they are just that well behaved! i had the best time photographing both of the girls and their precious parents, but had to laugh when reece (the oldest) started working the camera. hilarious.

grateful

after a morning 5k race, a day of my mothers delicious food, movies and laughter i am home to say one last thank you; and that's to you. thank you for encouraging me by reading my blog, it doesn't matter if it's your first visit or your 500th, thank you. i am constantly grateful for the good friends, family, and clients that take time to look at my work from time to time.

i quit my job in advertising 1 year ago to focus on my passion; photography and my family. because of the people that believe in me i am blessed to say i'm still doing what i love and learning more and more everyday. thank you for allowing me to do that.

sweet boys

welcome to the world samuel!
there is nothing like a sweet new baby, cuddly and soft, with that smell that you just can't put into words. i got to spend some time with samuel, william, kris, and lyndy over the weekend in their beautiful home. It has great light and is decorated perfectly for a photoshoot!

william is so funny, and so very sweet. I love that these photos go from shy, to silly, to sweet, to rambunctious. well, that's just life with an almost 2 year old!

beautifully shy

samantha walked in the door with a sweet, quiet smile. we'd never met. i could tell right away that this might not be on her top ten list of really fun things to do. but, she nodded and smiled when i told her to twist and turn in completely unnatural ways. then something fun happened, she started to open up. her smile turned from uncomfortable to genuine, her big beautiful brown eyes started to glisten. her sister brought her and of course we had to photograph them together, which made it even better!

the coach and his team

football season is way intense for a football coach and his family. but when the season is over, after wins and losses on the field it's nice to know this is the team that really matters. criticism and praise come with the territory for any coach but at the end of the day this guy has a beautiful, funny, and very sassy wife and three amazing kiddos. jack is a few months younger than deacon and has him completely beat in size. bill said "jack is going to be deacons left tackle someday", can't wait.

simple plans

brett came to his session with 2 shirts, one black and one white. after we talked for a while i asked him what he was thinking about for next year. with a big goofy grin he said he was going to play baseball for benedictine. then he put on his white shirt, and i realized he was beyond excited for the next step in his life.  
he has worked his whole life preparing for what's next, i'm really excited for him.

i love that we really got to focus on Brett's face and cute personality with his simply choice in clothes. this guy is tops.
