he looks at her like she is the most wonderful creation there has ever been, and her laughter is sweet to his ears. they are the sort of couple you look at and know they were perfectly designed for each other, no one can fake it that well. they don't hoard what they have, meeting them for the first time feels like you certainly must have met before. and when they laugh, which is often, it's not just a polite ha ha it's from way down deep. the kind of laughter that makes me feel better about life, the kind of laughter that i just can't help but join.

i asked them to bring a few little things they have for their first little one and as i pinned the onesies to the fence i kept thinking that in just a few more weeks they will meet the little man that will rock their world with his smiles and screams. they are in for the time of their life.
