we have this idea, we will all come together as a family and take a photograph. hopefully the kids will be rested, husbands won't be crabby, schedules will work themselves out, the weather will cooperate, and a beautiful portrait will be made. i love those images of an entire family together, knowing just how hard it was to make happen.
but what i think is even better, and a more accurate illustration are the moments in between. when faces are being wiped, shirts tucked in, and kids being, well kids. when guards are down and smiles are a little more genuine. these are the moments i want to remember most, real life.
