usually the first few minutes of a shoot are the most uncomfortable for someone that doesn't have their photo taken on a regular basis. it's completely normal to feel a little vulnerable as they are getting used to me and having a camera stuck in their face, but not audrey. she did great from the get go. it was like second nature for her to be photographed, which makes it SO much fun for me too! i'm excited about the textures and the brightness of her outdoor photos. we found some amazing spots with rusty trucks, bright bright plants, and funny old hound dogs!
the main reason i love to photograph people is the connection we gain. not many people love to be photographed, it's a vulnerable place, but my goal is to have fun, open them up, and capture something different. for me a photo shoot is more than just snapping some shots, it's about finding common ground. i hope all my clients feel like they are hanging out with an old friend by the time the day is over.
