i love 4 year olds!

there is a special point in ones life when you can be completely yourself in all your honest glory, yet know exactly what is expected of you. i believe this happens right around the age of 4. before that you may not exactly understand what might or might not be appropriate, and after you become so self aware that you are afraid to show who you really are. as i photographed asher and his family i couldn't help but giggle, wishing to join him making silly faces and making up stories. 

and now, as i look back at these photographs i see that i captured something that might only live in a memory in a year or two, the uncontainable joy of knowing life is wonderful.
