before max came along his parents would tell you they appreciated having control over their schedules and goals. as i walked in the door emily and i chatted about how everything changes when you have a baby. everyone tells you that your life will be different but it's hard to believe when you haven't lived it.
she might not feel like she's got it together like she did when she was working as an attorney on big deal cases, but she does. it's just different. so what if the dishes didn't get done, or that shower that was suppose to happen turned into 3 hours of bouncing. your baby is thriving because of you, and that is way more important than having it all together. and one day it will all click, it just might be awhile!
