i met brian during his senior composite session. what can you learn about someone in 3 minutes? not much, but he was kind, and he had an infectious smile. when he came to the farm for his senior shoot i got a sense that this person that i had only said hello to before had a story that was worth listening to.
we all have our struggles, our hang ups, the things that hold us back. rarely are we told at birth what it will be. most infants aren't told "you will never _______(fill in the blank) but brian was. they said he would not see. brians mother was told her baby boy wouldn't ever see her face, hold her gaze. surgeries and procedures would become their reality, and sight a lofty wish for his future.
for brian sight is a gift that he never takes for granted, he recognizes what he has been given, when most of us don't acknowledge how incredible sight really is. today, brian can see his mother, though not clearly. but her gaze is held and his heart is grateful.

Meredith you are truly great at what you do.
Hey Brian, Great pics! I can't pick my favorite - they are all so good. Your smile-filled pics are wonderful. I can't believe you are already a senior. Thanks for sharing your photos with me.
